AmyBabyZ
Context
AmyBabyZ is a live streamer on Trovo, Kick, and other platforms. She needed an online home that would establish her brand identity, and where her viewers and fans could find all her social media links, and learn a little bit more about her as a person.
This website was developed to fill that need, and utilizes inexpensive hosting and maintenance solutions to fit the budget of an up-and-coming creator.
Objective
To build a lean and responsive website to represent AmyBabyZ's brand and provide links and info to visitors.
Process
In a brainstorming session with Amy, I coached her through the process of crafting a brand identity and color palette, along with the general site contents and structure.
Then I started by designing the layout in Adobe XD, designating the 3 main pages, and the modal pop-up on the Shoutouts page. The background image was found on a royalty-free site and adjusted in Adobe Photoshop to match the color palette. The name logo was designed in Photoshop as well, using a free Google Font.
The site was built using the 11ty (Eleventy) framework which was chosen for its simplicity and speed, knowing that a statically generated site would be perfect for this project.
The site is hosted on Netlify's free tier, so the only cost is the service that provides the Cookie Policy. Maintaining this low cost was an important factor in this project from the beginning.
Results
The site has all green Lighthouse scores, and I am in the process of tracking usage data to report here as well.
Comments on the site and its design have been overwhelmingly positive. I hope to build more sites like this for other creators in the future.
